Australian chief Steve Smith kept on heaping up keeps running in the continuous Ashes Test arrangement against England. Today (December 30), he hit his 23rd Test century to outperform Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.
At the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Saturday, the fifth and last day of the fourth Test, Smith guaranteed that Australia were in the sheltered zone and drew the amusement. He stayed unbeaten on 102 (275 balls, 6x4). The hosts lead the five-coordinate arrangement 3-0 with the last Test beginning on January 4 in Sydney.
