A Short Trip to James Ruse Reserve, an Australian park

Now the weather in Australia is getting to very hot summer season. But regardless of the weather, children always want to go and play outside. I was trying to figure out where to go on a hot day like this, and I found a place by accident called James Ruse Reserve. Located within the city of Parramata, this place was equipped with a wide range of facilities such as water play facilities, skateboarding or inline skating facilities, and barbeque facilities, in addition to the usual playground for children.

The first impression here is that the size of the park is just right. If the park is too big, children will disappear in the blink of an eye. So you should always pay attention to their movements. That's why someone has to keep track of them all the time. However, it had the great advantage of seeing all the play areas and facilities at a glance, so you could quickly locate the children, even if you were distracted for a while.

Water Play Facilities

First of all, it's a water play area. It looks as cool as you want to jump in right away.

The water play time is set for the date and time. It's from September to May of the following year. It's from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Skating Facilities

This time, it's a skating facility.

Young people were skating and performing tricks or stunts. They put a trash bin in the middle of the road and showed us a trick of crossing over it.

At first I thought this was a swimming pool. But this was also a place for boarders!

Other Play and Convenience Facilities

I'll take a look around other places.
Here, some families gathered together and held a birthday party.

This is the barbecue facility. If you lay a foil on that square iron plate and press the button, the heat is applied so you can bake any meat or sausages for about 20 to 30 minutes. It automatically turns off after a while, and if you need more, you can press the button again.

Parking Space

The park itself is not big, so parking area is also not much wide. Fortunately, there were many parking lots available that day.

There were two types of parking areas. It can be explained in a nutshell. In the left-hand side, it is available with a charge for up to 10 hours on weekdays. And in the right side, it is up to 2 hours for free on weekdays (including Saturday). It is free in the other time range excluded. Sunday was not within that range, so we could park without restriction.

This is the toilet. There are so many parks in Australia, but there are too many of them without toilets. I was so glad we had them here.

Lawn nearby

Right across the park, there was this wide lawn. Usually, Aussies enjoy a walk with their dogs and play the cricket as well as the football game somewhere like here.

To Sum up

All right! We've been looking around James Ruse Reserve. If I come by again later, I will have a barbecue with an acquaintance. Of course, I'm going to hold my children's birthday party there. If you are also in Australia or have a chance to visit Australia, I would like to recommend you to come James Ruse Reserve near the city, where you can enjoy a barbecue with your children and play with water plays.
