If you live in Australia at the moment, you've been inundated with relentless propaganda in favour of same-sex marriage.
In echoes of 2016's Trump and Brexit questions, the liberal mafia is out in force pushing their leftist agenda and silencing any opposing view as 'hate speech' or bigotry. Rainbow flags abound, brainwashed citizens donned in fabulous colours, stupid catchphrases 'love is love' pushed proudly into a social-media echo-chamber.
I'll be voting a big 'No' and I encourage all others concerned by the prospect of SSM and the general fascist environment presented by the left to do the same.
The mainstream media in its horrendous bias and propaganda role has censored any alternative points of view to maintaining the institution of marriage as between a man and woman.
To the blue-pilled (or brainwashed), there may be no reason alternatives 'hey, equal dignity man', 'love is love' etc etc. And there is some credence to those sentiments.
However, there are also credence to arguments opposing SSM.
For a start, the mainstream media is pushing it, which should be giant red-flag that it is a trojan-horse that will further take away our liberties.
Secondly, I don't believe a child should be raised by two people of the same gender. That's simply my view of nature, and no child should grow up with their dads going at it in the bedroom (I know that's not PC, but it's how I feel). That's consistent with studies which have shown higher depression and obesity in children in this position.
Furthermore, SSM further promotes the cultural marxist agenda that we are seeing relentlessly pushed in terms of unhinged feminism (assuming men and women should have equal representation in everything and any deviation is discrimination) and radical open-border immigration policies (assuming all races and cultures are equal). Concerns have been raised that this will be used to silence conservative views and religious freedoms, I would have to agree with that. We already live in a society that is terrifying for people with right-wing views such that many are silenced and scared to exercise free-speech.
Homosexuality is rising, yes they are turning the frogs gay. Do some research. I'm shocked to see how many feminine men there are (whether gay or not), this isn't a joke. They are poisoning us.
But the clincher for me is that the 'New World Order' talks about same-sex marriage as one of its objectives. If you're not aware of this concept, do some research on it. In simple terms, the NWO is the plan for the global enslavement of humanity by a satanic elite (freemasons/zionists etc), something very similar to Orwell's 1984. Again I'd suggest reading that book and understanding the plan for the relationship between the sexes (i.e. non-existent with the State replacing the family).
Not everything is as it seems.
Don't trust the fake news media, educate yourself. I'll be voting my conscience, NO!

Hi The Enigma. I appreciated your post and the time it took to prepare for publishing. The discussion you are having there in Australia is similar to the one we have had here in the US and elsewhere.
My personal point of view is that individuals should be free to love and associate with whomever they choose. This is the basis of freedom. Marriage is, among other things, a legal contract. I believe people should be allowed to enter into contracts with whomever they choose to.
Where I can sympathize with many who oppose same-sex marriage is in their belief that these alternative unions somehow detract from tradition and seem to threaten the institution itself. This may be because we find same-sex relationships as unnatural or worse, or because we feel it legitimizes behavior we disagree with on religious or other grounds.
Change, particularly changes in tradition, is often fraught with emotional and philosophical stress. Our reactions are based upon our own personal view as to "how things should be." When changes seem threaten our view, we become defensive and resistant. Often that becomes the basis for hostility and conflict between those who are seeking change and those against it.
What I have found in my life is that when my "normal" is usurped, I enter a period of stress and sometimes anger or sorrow. But over time, a new "normal" emerges and I become accustomed and integrated with it. Knowing this has allowed me to become more supportive of change as my capacity and confidence in dealing with it increases.
We don't have to like or support the choices that other people make for themselves. But speaking in principle, I would not want others to have the right to make the most personal of choices for me, or to limit my choices based solely on their belief systems, biases, and experiences. It is because I so want to preserve my own freedom of choice, that I stand to protect that of others, even when I do not support or share their beliefs.
Thank you again for your post, and I wish you good luck here on Steem, and that you enjoy your journey!

Homosexuality and marriage are quite different. A person or state or country should not take the headache of gay or lesbian relationship.
