I took this picture in March 2019 when I had a very clear day and it was possible to see the Alps even from Linz. The Alps are more than 50 Kilometers away from Linz so usually you don't see all the mountains on the skyline. And they also don't seem to be that close. There are a lot of pictures from Salzburg with the high mountains but usually you don't find a lot of pictures from Linz with the mountains in the background.
