Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

    Unfortunately, I don't think so. This one guy keeps downvoting it and their vote is worth like thousands of minnow votes. There's not much we can do, the steem rich make or break posts.
    It would be nice if they at least left some feedback before single-handedly censoring posts and nullifying rewards.
