Mitsubishi seems to be making a major breakthrough. Manufacturers from Japan is currently known to continue to increase the range of crossovernya with a touch of interesting style. They have also revealed will release six new cars until 2020. Of course the ambition was done to raise their prestige.
Not just a new car, because Mitsubishi recently also boost some newer technology. Among these are plans to sell cars without using the rearview mirror.
Reported by Carscoops, Thursday, January 25, 2018, Mitsubishi recently announced it has developed the highest performing automotive camera technology in the car industry.
Mitsubishi claims the latest camera technology can detect objects up to 100 meters away once. Technology based on artificial intelligence is also expected to reduce the number of accidents on the highway, especially those that occur due to changes in the path.
This camera has quite an impressive ability, because its adopted system has a computational visual identification model that allows to mimic human visual behavior, to focus on a particular area within the field of view. This system can distinguish between cars, motorcycles, and pedestrians.
Compared with some cameras today, of course Mitsubishi technology is much more advanced. If another camera is only capable of capturing a maximum distance of 30 meters, Mitsubishi can perform as far as 100 meters. The accuracy of object detection also increased, from 14 to 81 percent.
The plan, Mitsubishi will offer cars without mirrors in 2019. Japan will be the first country to get such products. Moreover, Japan has given permission to use the camera on the car to replace the role of rearview mirror in 2016 ago. So far, the technology was applied to the CA-MiEV concept car.
Mitsubishi is not the only car manufacturer that intensively introduced products without rearview mirror. Because BMW is also seriously develop it, even launched the concept of mirrorless i8 in the Consumer Electronic Show 2016 ago. BMW also claims to sell cars without mirrors in 2019.
