DAV: the decentralized platform that connects autonomous vehicles in the world

in autonomousvehicles •  6 years ago

The operation of the Blockchain for vehicles is of immense interest to the armies of seasoned developers. DAV (Decentralized Autonomous Vehicles) is a decentralized open-source ecosystem that allows anyone to search for autonomous means of transportation including cars. The boats and drones will be integrated into the software platform very soon. DAV will expand its reach in commercial, logistical and social services.

Vehicles at the heart of the project

The Blockchain has for a long time been running a campaign against centralization and the profits of intermediaries who connect people to each other. The objective of DAV will be primarily to eliminate these intermediaries (disintermediation) affecting the operation of vehicles (as the case of Uber and Lyft) and to interconnect service seekers and vehicle owners.

Thanks to the Blockchain and the dApps (decentralized application), many cases of figures can be explored from the simple rental to the management of the car parks . Also, a person will be able to rent his car to a tenant from a simple decentralized application and manage the activity from the Blockchain, taking into account the conditions of the contract, payment and other related aspects. The platform will therefore use a specific cryptocurrency (Token / Token here) created for this purpose.

Commercial, logistic and social objective

The world of Blockchain is very vast, and what DAV proposes is only a sketch of its potential. Focused on vehicles, DAV plans to affect the network to boats, drones and other types of gear. The platform will offer decentralized services that manage the movement of carriers, drone platforms, and will also allow autonomous robots to locate and search for survivors of a shipwreck or a crash.

For his project, DAV brings together a number of specialists including former Ethereum members such as Greg Colvin, Nick Johnson, Tung Chan or John Frazer. In addition, Noam Copel's AVT team is also made up of other prominent figures from leading companies including UPS, Equinix, IBM, CISCO and even two former NASA astronauts.
