It's that time of year again!

You know what I am talking about....Fall, back to school, and cooler temps.

So I know a lot of you are fans of summer and heat, lamenting the winding down of sunny days at the lake or beach. For me it's the windup to fall and all things spooky. I know people say it's too soon to have seasonal stuff in the stores, but for me it's like an awakening. I struggle though winter and spring. Summer being a bit better because we have birthdays in June and a lot of my favorite bands go on tour.
When August hit's and we get a few more cooler days I start to get excited! I will often find myself looking forward to the YouTube videos of the new Halloween items that are coming out and there are plenty of videos for me to watch. Then there is the trade shows and hints of what's to come at the theme parks. For me Halloween is not just a holiday but a lifestyle. I fought against having too many things out year round because I love to change things up with each season and holiday but recently I find that more and more of my spooky decor stays out. Yet the brunt of what I own, and it is quite a bit stays in our basement. I keep saying I am not going to lug another toat up the stairs again and in the end I do so with glee.
I now have a helper who loves everything spooky as much as we do. Never did I think I would start to hate certain shows or songs but with repeated watches I find myself wanting to tear my hair out, but he loves them and I love him so we deal. I was never really into Halloween fashion until a few years ago and have come to realized i might have a slight addiction to Halloween clothing after i bought a couple of dresses and quite a few pairs of leggings with skulls on them.
So as I sit here knowing that more and more things will be showing up in stores I fight myself not to go crazy and max out my credit cards to my husbands chagrin. and that's a whole different story, my struggle with the ease of purchases online and at the press of a button. He also barely tolerates my Halloween shopping addiction but I have made a bargain with him that every time I buy a Halloween item he can buy some Crypto currency.
Yes I know I should be worried about my debt and paying it down but dangit, Everything pumpkin spice is just around the corner and I am such a sucker for those little tasty treats and coffees. Did I mention that I start decorating at the tail end of August? We even start the outside stuff the second week of Sept, but this year we are headed to the Minnesota Renaissance festival and a quick family vacation. To my delight and surprise there just happens to be a pumpkin patch very close to our hotel. Now if I can only hang on to the trip money and not go blowing it on more Halloween items. Wish me luck, I am going to need it.
