Happy October Everyone!
While out on my morning hike today, I noticed something. If you are extremely quiet while walking in the woods, you can actually here a leaf fall to the ground. If you ever get the chance to be away from traffic and the hustle and bustle of the city...I urge you to just walk among the trees and listen to the little symphony that plays out. The soothing sounds of a tiny creek meandering down the hill, a squirrel gnawing on a nut, a woodpecker in the distance. You can hear it all. If you listen.
As everything bows down and begins to die, I think about the Spring and what beauty we will see again. The freshness and the greenery.
We have to prepare for the Winter ahead. Batten down the hatches and get the snow shovel ready. Enjoy the last bits of red and gold. Fleeting colors to remember on a snowy night.
