Tree within a TreesteemCreated with Sketch.

If one pays attention to the veins in leaves, they can look similarly to the trees on which they grow: a thick vein in the middle, like the trunk of a tree, then successively smaller branches forking-off this-way-and-that. It is like the tree, itself, has imprinted a self-portrait onto the leaf. A tree selfie!

Of course, proponents of philosophy and metaphysics will recognize the "As above, so below" Hermetic Principle of Correspondence at work here.

The details and patterns are so fascinating!

hahahaha... a tree selfie! Love that! But yes, the details are fascinating! Much like the rings on a cut tree trunk - they tell us so much about the life of the tree - age, weather conditions all of it. Nature is truly magnificent!
