Avast extensions back to chrome and Firefox
The browsers Google and Mozilla allowed the return of the extensions of Avast and AVG after they were pinned for improperly collecting the personal data of the users.
A few weeks ago, Avast was pinned for its overly curious browser extensions.
Avast Online Security, AVG Online Security, Avast SafePrice and AVG SafePrice, accused of collecting too much user data had been deleted from Mozilla's catalog for non-compliance with the conditions of use of Firefox
A few days later, Google had followed suit by banning the extensions from its Chrome Webstore.
Return extensions after compliance

Avast seems to have complied with the requirements of Mozilla and Google. Its browser extensions are now all back in the Firefox extension catalog and the Chrome Webstore.
The publisher, who explained that the privacy of its users is one of its priorities, has made several changes in the way its extensions work.

Data collection is now limited, while the extensions now clearly display Avast's Privacy Policy. At the first launch of the extension, the user is invited to allow or not to allow Avast to analyze the URLs of the sites he visits.
