This is a flat illustration avatar for @kennik's contest. My inspiration is a combo of two pics, the one in which he is drinking soda and another one in which he is sitting with a cap on.
What I noticed most was the curly hair, big smile, goatee, ear piercings and the urban style. So, I took all these attributes and made some variations:
I used Illustrator and a limited amount of geometric shapes to work on this.
