I had many doubts when deciding which villain to paint, but I think I made the right decision.
Makoto Shishio
Makoto Shishio (志 々 雄 真 実), is a personage of the series Rurouni Kenshin, and one of the villains of the series. When he was young he supplanted Hitokiri Battousai in the shadows, due to his great sword skills, but because of this the Meiji Government feared for his power and, consequently, betrayed him by shooting him in the head and setting it on fire. Despite this, he survived and vowed revenge against the Meiji Government, as well as creating a new era and dominating Japan.
