29 September 2006, ExcelAire Embraer Legacy 600, flying over the Brazilian jungle, hits an unidentified object. The aircraft lost part of its wing. The damaged Embraer landed safely at the military airport in Cachimbo.

Moments later, the aircraft was found to have collided with Gol Transportes Aéreos Boeing 737. The wreckage of 737 was found in the jungle in the state of Mato Grosso. 154 people were killed.
