A. Definition of Supervision Supervision has a very broad understanding, which includes all assistance from the leader / person in charge of the Community aimed at the development of its members in achieving the goals of membership care.
B. Purpose of Supervision Organize its members and train community organizers Provide direction in carrying out their duties in order to be aware of and understand the roles, functions as junior members and executors of Membership care. Providing services to the ability of members and community implementers to provide membership care.
C. Benefits of Supervision Supervision can increase work effectiveness. Increasing the effectiveness of this work is closely related to increasing the knowledge and skills of subordinates, as well as increasingly fostering relationships and a more harmonious working atmosphere between superiors and subordinates. Supervision can further improve work efficiency. Increased work efficiency is closely related to the reduction in mistakes made by subordinates, so that the useless use of resources (energy, assets and facilities) can be prevented. If both of these improvements can be realized, it means the achievement of an organization's goals has been achieved.
D. Principles of Supervision There are several principles carried out in the Supervision (ESTM) sector, including: Supervision is carried out in accordance with the organizational structure Supervision uses basic management knowledge, human relations skills and the ability to apply management and leadership principles The function of the service is clearly described, organized and stated through instructions, regulations, tasks and standards etc. According to keliat (2017) Community supervision principles are as follows:

E. How to Supervise
Directly Supervision is carried out, which is directly on the ongoing activities. How to provide effective direction is: Directions must be complete Easy to understand Use the right words Speak clearly and slowly Give logical direction Avoid giving many directions at one time Make sure that the instructions are understood Make sure that your directives are carried out or need follow-up.
Not Directly Supervision is done through both written and oral reports, Supervisors do not see directly the events in the field, so there may be factual gaps. Feedback can be given in writing.
F. Community Supervisor Community supervisors include:
Community Chairperson, Community Chairperson is responsible for supervising community services in the work unit. The Community Chairperson is the spearhead of determining whether or not the service goal is achieved in providing membership care and documentation in the work unit.
Community Oversight, some senior members or service units are under one work unit, community supervisors are responsible for supervising their area, namely several Community leaders in a particular work unit, for example a savings book for incoming funds and expenditure of funds in covering together activities,
Section heads, several agencies are merged under the supervision of section heads. The section head oversees the community supervisors in carrying out their duties directly and all members indirectly.
The Head of the Community Division, the Head of Community, is responsible for supervising the Section Head directly and all members indirectly.
A. Conclusion
Community supervision is needed to achieve the goals of community membership services, supervision does not mean punishing but giving direction and guidance to junior members so that they can complete their tasks effectively and efficiently. Supervisors are expected to have satisfying interpersonal relationships with community implementers so that supervision objectives can be achieved to increase motivation, creativity and ability of members which will ultimately have an impact on improving the quality of community services.
