This year isn't off to a good start for ones who affected by the fire in this shopping mall in Cebu. This is a reminder of how little time it takes for fire to consume a building. An update has came in that firefighters are still continuing to battle a large fire in Metro Ayala Mall, Cebu City after what had happened last night.
According to an article I've read, the fire's getting worse and about to spread the entire mall. It was stated that the fire began in a toy storage area on the third floor, and was later spread to another floors. Media sources indicate that the fourth floor of the building has collapsed and have quoted officials stating that the fire could take two days to control. It's just so horrible for a year to start with this kind of tragedy.
I, have just noticed this earlier when I'm on my way to school. I am bothered by what I've seen on the actual scene where smoke really billowed. This thick smoke worried me for perhaps it's a toxic from the burned building that keeps on coming out, that will for sure can cause harm to the health of those residents near the area affected. But Authorities have issued already a Task Force Alpha level for the blaze as fire continues to raze a shopping mall there. Thanks be to God nothing got harmed as of now and all personnels of the mall was able to evacuate safely with no injuries.
My prayers for the victims and their families in this time of grief and loss. May the Almighty God, who alone created the beauty and the bounty of our land, who cares and loves everyone, provides all your needs in these difficult times; From the workers in the field to the owners of the field, be with your people in Cebu City now in the midst of the fires. May He draw you to His heart and comfort you with His love and peace. My prayers are with you.
Always keep safe everyone!
