Hi Everyone!

Last Saturday, Cebu Steemians led by @jassennessaj take part of the "Awesome SMILE Project which was an initiative being spearheaded by @indayclara. At first all of Cebu Steemians were quite worried whether we would achieved the budget that need to be spend for this charity which was prepared two weeks prior to the event. Thankfully, we've got the support from the founder of @youarehope, which is @sircork, who without hesitation donated 150 SBD , @pennsif for his A Dollar A Day and @surpassinggoogle and Cebu Steemians who chipped in donations.

In the said event, I arrived late by thirty minutes or an hour and they are already in session with lots of kids, from ages 2 up to 9, they are all gathered in tables some with their parents, they were tasked to have some coloring activity which was being led by the Art Committee composed of @iamqueenlevita, @christianyocte and @smaeunabs. All kids are focused and we're happy coloring the sheet that they were given. We made some talks with them especially on their upcoming classes, some of them would report to classes and some not.

In the above photo, @indayclara is talking with the kids whereas @morken and @iamqueenlevita are discussing the bondpapers that are already finished that time.

The next activity being done after the coloring activity, @jassennesaj, @jbeguna04 and I, led the boys to a basketball game wherein @jassennessaj lead the other whereas for the other one, I lead the team, the referee was @jbeguna04. The game was so fun and brought us some sweat and the most important of all we made them happy and after the ball game, we donated a new basketball for the dormitory.

One of the plays while we are playing basketball with the kids, @jassennessaj and I agreed to stay near the ring so we only need to do some rebound and the pass the ball to our respective teammates.

Next activity was a game hosted by @thian2817 and @smaeunabs, which is in a form of relay for girls, wherein the girls would dance as they turn around the chair which is about 5 meters from there starting point.

Next activity was a relay game for boys, wherein they will not let the cups fall while they move towards the chair and just by using the straw which is being bitten by each member of a team. As for me, I lead a team of 4, and also @jassennessaj and @ryancalaunan.

The next activity was a Paper Dance Game, during this time, I opted not to play but when a kid approached me saying "Kuya, partner ta." (Kuya, I'll pair up with you."), with that I played and look for a place in the vicinity which is near a corner, thankfully I saw chairs being lined up near to the wall of the building, with that I found a relief to just lean on the chairs since the kid that is pairing up with me is a bit heavy HAHAHAHAHAHA and to make the story short, our pair was among the winners.

After all the games, awarding proceeded and then followed by a gift giving led by @jassennessaj, @morken and @indayclara.

After the activity we have seen how happy and grateful they are. Hopefully we can comeback to Luis Amigo Dormitory in the future.

I guess that would be all for the charity Cebu Steemians and I had conducted last Saturday.

Thank you for spending your precious time reading this blog.

Much love and respect.
