Umat Islam ora didhawuhi meksa wong kafir mlebu Islam. Umat Islam dilarang meksa wong-wong kafir, wong Yahudi, Nasrani, utawa liya-liyane, supaya padha ganti agama kanggo mlebu Islam.
Muslims are not commanded to force infidels to convert to Islam. Muslims are forbidden to force infidels, Jews, Christians, or others, to change their religion to convert to Islam.
2:256
لَآ إِكْرَاهَ فِى ٱلدِّينِ ۖ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ ٱلرُّشْدُ مِنَ ٱلْغَىِّ ۚ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِٱلطَّـٰغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدِ ٱسْتَمْسَكَ بِٱلْعُرْوَةِ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ لَا ٱنفِصَامَ لَهَا ۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become distinct from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in ṭāghūt and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

Sanadyan ora wajib mlebu agama Islam, nanging dihukum amarga ora nindakake shalat sing shalat iku minangka syariah Islam.
Though it is not obligatory to convert to Islam, it is punished for not performing the sholat for which the sholat are Islamic sharia.
74:42
مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فِى سَقَرَ
[And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?"
— Saheeh International
74:43
قَالُوا۟ لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ ٱلْمُصَلِّينَ
They will say, "We were not of those who prayed,
— Saheeh International
74:44
وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ ٱلْمِسْكِينَ
Nor did we used to feed the poor.

74:45
وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ ٱلْخَآئِضِينَ
And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it],
— Saheeh International
74:46
وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ
And we used to deny the Day of Recompense

74:47
حَتَّىٰٓ أَتَىٰنَا ٱلْيَقِينُ
Until there came to us the certainty [i.e., death]."

Wonten ing ayat ing nginggil, Allah Ta'ala nyariyosaken kawontenanipun tiyang wonten ing Neraka. Alasane wong-wong mau mlebu neroko yaiku “nolak dina kiyamat”, mula dheweke disalahake minangka wong kapir. Uga amarga "ora sholat", miturut pendapat sing paling kuat ing perkara iki yen ninggalake sholat iku kufur. Utawi siro nuruti panemune para ulama yen ninggal shalat iku dudu dosa kafir, mula ayat iki mujudake bukti yen wong kafir bakal siksa amarga ninggalake cabang utawa furu’ syariat.
Ing Islam, wong kafir (ing basa Arab: كافر, kāfir; jamak: كفّار, kuffār) yaiku wong sing nutup lan ora gelem percaya marang Allah lan Rasul-Nya. Or someone who closes and refuses to believe in Allah and His Messenger.
