Azimut
Last year in September the renowned Italian shipyard Azimut has announced they’ve started the construction of a superb 38.2-meter vessel called Grande Trideck, the yard’s largest project to date. Despite the crazy year we’ve all had, they’ve been busy working on this awesome yacht ever since and today we’ve got news that it’s almost complete.
The first three-deck yacht built by Azimut Yachts is going to be delivered in just a few months and this seems like the perfect way to make us forget about 2020. Grande Trideck also aims to show off the brand’s capacity for taking things to another level, both in terms of design and style and also when it comes to construction.
Italian yacht designer Alberto Mancini imagined the extraordinary exterior look of this yacht, that features dynamic and elegant lines, which incorporate the exhausts and fairleads.
What’s really special about this three-deck vessel is the aft raised cockpit, which creates a series of new exterior spaces, strategically placed around the boat. Among them we could mention the central gangway that leads directly onto the aft raised deck, the sea-view terrace or the beach club and a private patio where passengers will most likely love to relax.
The lovely beach club features full-height ceilings, while the upper deck houses a spacious, full-beam social area. The sun deck around the forward bar and the custom spa surrounded by sun pads would be perfect for restful individual moments or spending some time together with your friends or family.
I’m quite sure anyone onboard will also appreciate the garage area, that’s big enough to store a decent-sized tender and several water toys. This yacht has it all!
On the inside, another acclaimed Italian designer, Achille Salvagni, put his imagination and talent to good use and designed a versatile and informal layout, thtat’s ideal for relaxing and entertaining. The private patio on the main deck might be our favorite spot though, the perfect location if you want some privacy.
Grande Trideck has five cabins, the main deck housing a spacious owner’s suite, while the other four guest cabins are located midship. But a sixth cabin can be also added on the upper deck, upon request.
Packing one of two engine options rated at 2400 or 2600 HP, Azimut’s new Trideck yacht could reach a top speed of 23 or 24 knots, an impressive feat for a yacht of its size.
This was possible thanks to a lightweight superstructure that was laminated in carbon fiber, with vinylester and epoxy resin added to the mix, while the D2P® hull helped reduce consumption and improve efficiency. We can’t wait to see this beauty in action!
