The Lucky Little Dude.

It was a beautiful morning in sunny Florida. Springtime just began and the flowers were all turning magical colors. As Little Dude woke up he saw his reflection in the morning dew. He was a baby black kitty. He had brothers and sisters. They were all so young just over a month old. Little did he know that this would be the last time he saw them and his Mommy.

After Little Dude had his morning breakfast something devastating happened. He was snatched up. All he could feel was cold hands and they were rough too. He kept meowing for his Mom but it was too late they rushed him in a loud car. They speeded away. Little Dude was crying and struggling to get away. He was too weak. Then the worst that could happen next did. They threw him out of the car window. Little Dude had cars going over him. He got a bloody mouth and was tumbling in the road. All of a sudden he heard brakes and saw a green car pull over. The man ran out in front of the cars and screamed, " Stop!!!" So after two cars going over him and just missing him the man named Dale scooped him up to the rescue. He put the Little Dude in the car and rushed home to see if he was okay.

When Dale came home he couldn't find the Little Dude. He went and woke up his girlfriend Aleksandra and she rushed out to help. She panicked in search of the baby kitten. Finally they found him in the middle of the front after taking the car apart. They brought him in. She looked at the kitten and she knew that she had to be his Mom now. She would take care of him with Dale. The bandaged him up and feed him.

Many weeks the Little Dude was still scared. Then one day he saw squirrels outside. He thought maybe this place could be home. Everday he would go outside and watch the birds and squirrels eat peanuts. Sometimes two foxes would come along to say hi to the Little Dude. One day a Racoon came and taught him how to stand on his two feet. Little Dude had all sorts of friends.

Every morning when the Little Dude sees his reflection in the dew he remembers how brave some people can be. Like Dale the man who saved him. Little Dude likes to play and eat his treats. He will always miss his cat family but he knows he is a lucky Little Dude.
