To push or not to push
To breathe or not to breathe (no sorry, I got that wrong....ALWAYS remember to breathe!)
Breathing baby out sounds impossible, but I most certainly did with our second daughter Leah.
After starting contracting around 10am on a Saturday morning in 2003 (the day after Boxing Day) I was looking after our first daughter who was really poorly with a virus, we ended up taking her to A&E that night. After waiting there for a couple of hours, whilst in active labour, the triage nurse insisted I made my way over to the maternity unit, as I was about to drop!
I had no intense urge to push (like I did with my other two births) but breathed baby out only twenty minutes later!
For all the pregnant mummies to be, have a read of this fantastic article
