Hard to believe my little rainbow is already a year old. Can you believe that!? So you know what that means...

Maverick is a little cookie monster. So being the little cookie monster that he is it only seemed appropriate to have a Cookie Monster themed birthday party. My wife Bridget made the cake from scratch. She spent like 6 hours baking his cake and making the frosting along with all the little cookie monster cupcakes. She actually had to run back to the store to get more blue frosting because what she bought wasn't blue enough.
As you can see it didn't take Maverick long to start digging in HA HA. He didn't really smash the cake, he just stuck his hands in it and made a mess. He got it everywhere! EVEN IN HIS HAIR!!!
He ate a good chunk of the cake and got several mouthfuls of frosting. Long story short he was bouncing off the walls just like a happy baby boy should be on his 1st birthday.

But that isn't all!!!
Maverick's 1st birthday happens to be during Bikes, Blues, and BBQ, a yearly biggest bike festival in northwest Arkansas. Bikers from all over the country ride here for this event. Seriously, you can smell these guys all over town HA HA. I will have a couple more blogs coming next posting probably tomorrow of Bikes Blues and BBQ so stay un-tune-ed for that.
Maverick didn't know what to think of all the bikes. He kept looking back and forth watching them all go HA HA. We weren't there long. Just long enough for Maverick to be there experiencing his very first Bikes Blues and BBQ. It was a long day being his birthday and all so we left after an hour. It was bedtime.

It took Bridget 20 mins just to clean him off so we could head to the festival HA HA. His hands still have a blueish color from the frosting.
