Each year there is a classical music international masterclass in a picturesque medieval city in the heart of Transilvania : Sighisoara. (Yeah, please feel free to google it.) During the week I got familiar with the so called Alexander Technique, which is a efficient method of releasing muscle tension that accumulates during hours of practice .

Here are 5 lessons I find worth sharing, because it applies to wider fields of activity, or let's call it life.

  1. You are stronger when you are in a relaxed state of mind and body.

  2. Balance is more important, than the strong intention of to perform or deliver.

  3. When in tension, one should consciously observe it and let go instead of carrying out the activity.

  4. Everything is controlled from the head/ mind.

  5. In case of mistake/inhibition, one should not label it, but being consciously observe and control it.
