Every single thing right-wing gun people who hate Alec Baldwin have told me "should" have happened to prevent Halyna Hutchins' death has fallen into one of two categories:
- Something that's ALREADY standard practice on most sets, but which was ignored in this case due to gross negligence, or...
- Something that's completely unworkable on a film set for reasons that anyone who has made a film would understand, but which conservatives who scoff at the arts can't seem to comprehend.
I get that y'all hate Baldwin. He's a dick. We've known that forever. Doesn't make him guilty of a crime.
I also get that a lot of you think that your experience on gun ranges is sufficient to know how safety procedures should work everywhere.
Unfortunately, you're wrong and you should learn more about the rules & procedures that are already typically in place for guns on movie sets before you opine about this issue.
What y'all sound like to me right now are the leftists who think that yet another law banning guns on school grounds on top of the multitude that already exist would stop school shootings.
Just stop.
