Balot is a famous exotic street food in the Philippines. Balot is basically duck embryo. Yes it looks disgusting, but you should ignore the aesthetics - its really tasty. Found out that it can be served and cooked other ways rather than just boiling it. In this dish - Balot ala Pobre- . it combines gourmet like serving that adds texture and taste to the already delightful taste of the balot. Definitely will come back and try it again.
