Hey, Yvan here and its 3:30 PM right now and every filipino loves to eat snack around this time, we call it Merienda or afternoon snack. Usually there are a lot of food that could be eaten around this time but the most available right now were banana snacks. So i should at least introduce you to some of my fave banana snacks.
BananaQue
Bananaque also know as Maruya by the locals is a ripen Saba Banana which was deep fried in a hot cooking oil while adding brown sugar to caramelize.

Grilled Skewered Banana
Also know as Ginannggang by the locals were unripe Saging na Saba grilled to cook then brushed with margarine and sprinkled with sugar.

Spring Rolled Banana
Also known as Turon were ripen Saging na Saba wrap in a spring roll together with a little bit of stripped jack fruit inside deeply cooked in a hot cooking oil then adding brown sugar to caramelize.

Banana Fritter
Also known as Pinaypay na Saging cutting the unripe or ripe Saging na Saba into three but not as thoroughly cutting it just forming fan then dip it in a mixture of water and flour then cook in a cooking oil until golden then sprinkled with sugar after.

Steamed Banana
Also known as Nilagang Saging ripen or unripe Saging na Saba simply steamed in a pot. Also you can dip it on a bagoong for an out of experience delicacy.

So there you have it, that's the list of my fave banana snack, but there are still a lot of banana recipe we can find outside, maybe next time we could include some.
