According to scientific claims, a large number of genes are shared between humans and bananas. They don't necessarily have the same sequence, but they do encode a functionally equivalent molecule and share a common ancestral gene in the common ancestor of bananas and humans.
Does that make bananas 50% human? ...Or us 50% bananas?
Either way, it seems we as a society are finding unique ways to establish a closer connection with our yellow counterparts...
Have you had your banana today?
