3G 4G এর পর বাংলাদেশে চালু হতে যাচ্ছে 5G। সরকার দেশে পঞ্চম প্রজন্মের ইন্টারনেট সেবা 5G চালু করতে যাচ্ছে । এ লক্ষ্যে আগামীকাল বুধবার এই সেবার পরীক্ষামূলক প্রদশর্নী হতে যাচ্ছে। প্রধানমন্ত্রীর তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি–বিষয়ক উপদেষ্টা সজীব ওয়াজেদ জয় আজ দুপুরে তার সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যম ফেসবুকের পোস্টে এ তথ্য জানিয়েছেন।
নিজের ভেরিফায়েড পেজে সজীব ওয়াজেদ লিখেন, ‘এই মুহূর্তে আমি ট্রাফিকে আটকে আছি কিন্তু ঢাকাতে বসেই ঠিক আমেরিকার মতোই ৪জি ইন্টারনেট সেবা পাচ্ছি। আমরা কয়েকমাস আগে ৪জি সেবা চালু করলেও ইতোমধ্যেই কাভারেজ বেশ ভালো বলে মনে হচ্ছে। এর জন্য টেলিকম কোম্পানিগুলোকে আমি ধন্যবাদ জানাই। আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারের ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ বাস্তবায়নে আরেকটি মাইলফলক অর্জন।
