In Argentina, mobile payments take a share from card transactions

The latest retail payments report released by the Central Bank of Argentina has shown that mobile payments are booming in the country, leaving behind outdated payment instruments. Mobile devices are increasingly being used to make payments due to the abundance of banking applications and mobile wallets. In October alone, 162 million such transactions were made, which is 7.1% more than in September. This number is also twice the number of transactions made in October 2021.
