In the movie The Avengers: Infinity War later Bucky (Sebastian Stan) will get a new codename: White Wolf. In the comics White Wolf and Bucky are two people who are very much different and have no connection at all. For lay fans, White Wolf is a foreign character that is no more famous than Winter Soldier. So who exactly is White Wolf?
First appeared in the comic book Black Panther # 4, published in 1999, Hunter is a white man who was stranded in Wakanda after the plane he and his family rode in an accident. Losing both his parents, King T'Chaka then adopted and raised the Hunter like his own son. To reciprocate T'Chaka's good deeds, Hunter strives as hard as possible to prove himself worthy of being the patron of the king, where Hunter eventually becomes the leader of "Hatut Zeraze", Wakanda's secret military unit.

It was at this time that Hunter began using the codename White Wolf, and faithfully protected Wakanda until T'Chaka died. Hunter himself has a less good relationship with T'Challa, especially after T'Challa disband Hatut Zeraze because it is considered too brutal. Hunter then leaves Wakanda and works as a mercenary, but when Wakanda is in danger he always returns to protect the land of his adoptive father's relic. Hunter later became an ally of T'Challa's successor, Kasper Cole.
Now the question is whether this new persona is suitable for use by Bucky? Indeed, when viewed from the comic, there is no event or link that can explain why Winter Soldier can turn into a White Wolf. But Marvel has a very smart way to build the plot. Bucky is now a fugitive in his own country, so eventually he works for Black Panther and Wakanda as a secret agent and adopts White Wolf's name as his new identity.
