Bankrupt Chicago - the people speak out through an ANTI-TRUMP art installation

in bankrupt •  7 years ago

Old news post, but local artists and city workers in Chicago are frustrated with the junk bonds and poor government spending they decided to install, artist Scott Reeder’s, sculpture that features the words “Real Fake” in five-foot-high, gold-painted letters. The piece was designed back in 2013, and other local political art has been popping up around the community. However, this particular art piece was directly across the river from Trump Tower, which seems to be no accident. No comment has been made to the cost for putting up this sculpture, and the city representatives have not really claimed it to be directed at Trump, it is open to interpretation. Although the struggle of Chicago is real. It's not only Chicago, Puerto Rico , Idaho, and/or other cities and sates are still financially failing.

I was in Chicago last week staying with my son and would have loved to go downtown to take pictures, but it rained so much that we never had the opportunity. Next time! I really wanted to see that.

I'm personally not from Chicago I was looking at their news because I'm thinking of investing out there. Back in May they had 2 sudden property auctions. I think they might be selling like they did in Detroit back 2013. What made you go to Detroit ?

My son lives and works in the city and we had a wonderful week long visit. It is a beautiful city.
