Bagi sebagian orang mendaki gunung merupakan sebuah hobi bahkan ada pula yang menjadi pekerjaan.Tapi sebagian besar orang menganggap mendaki merupakan suatu hal yang berat dan mungkin sia-sia.Padahal tidak selamanya bahwa mendaki
gunung adalah hal yang tidak bermanfaat. Justru banyak hal yang bisa didapat ketika kita mendaki gunung, selain mendapat gambar buat background foto.hehe.

Sebagaimana sebuah aktifitas [baik yang biasa maupun tidak biasa] mendaki gunung butuh persiapan baik persiapan bekal maupun fisik.Nah sebagai seorang pemula, saya akanmemaparkan apa-apa saja yang diperlukan dalam rangka persiapan mendaki gunung,terutama bagi pemula.

1.Persiapan informasi.
Informasi penting diperlukan. Seluk beluk seperti lokasi, transportasi, basecamp, jarak pendakian, medan pendakian, kemungkinan-kemungkinan yang tidak diharapkan seperti badai, jalur yang rusak dan sebagainya mutlak harus diketahui. Hal ini berguna agar memudahkan kita di dalam menyiapkan diri dan bekal.Lebih bagus lagi jika kita punya peta pendakian sehingga kita punya perkiraan sekilas tentang medan. Informasi bisa dicari lewat teman ataupun internet

2.Persiapan Peralatan dan bekal.
Usahakan membawa barang-barang dan peralatan yang memang diperlukan. Diantara beberapa barang yang sering diperlukan antara lain :
a. Lampu Senter, tongkat
b. Peralatan Pribadi (semisal pakaian ganti)
c. Obat-obatan (terutama jika punya penyakit yang sering kambuh). Khusus tentang obat saya menyarankan untuk membawa obat pusing dan diare.Untuk mengantisipasi morning sickness alias kebelet di pagi hari.
d. Peralatan makan [dan atau masak] semisal kompor parafin, panci kecil, korek api, piring aluminium dan sendok.
e. Bekal logistik : roti, makanan ringan, mie instant, nasi bungkus (bagi yang terbiasa makan harus dengan nasi), air minum minimal 3 liter plus perasa minuman agar tidak terasa tawar (bagi yang mau).
f. Suplemen energi : seperti madu, gula merah / gula jawa,dan minuman suplemen.

3.Persiapan fisik.
Kekuatan fisik mutlak diperlukan dalam suatu pendakian gunung. Jika fisik tidak menunjang maka pendakian akan gagal, minimal mengalami kesulitan.

the mountain is useless. Precisely many things that can be obtained when we climb the mountain, in addition to getting a picture for the background foto.hehe.

As an activity [both ordinary and unusual] mountain climbing requires preparation both stocking and physical preparation. Well as a beginner, I will describe what is needed in order to prepare for climbing the mountain, especially for beginners.

  1. Preparation of information.
    Important information is required. Subtleties such as location, transportation, basecamp, climbing distance, climbing terrain, unexpected possibilities such as storms, damaged pathways and so on must be known. This is useful to facilitate us in preparing and stocking. It's even better if we have a climbing map so we have a glimpse of the terrain. Information can be found through friends or the internet

  2. Preparation Tools and supplies.
    Try to bring the necessary goods and equipment. Among the few items that are often required include:
    a. Flashlight, stick
    b. Personal Equipment (such as change of clothes)
    c. Drugs (especially if they have a recurrent disease). Especially about the drug I suggest to bring dizziness and diarrhea medicine. To anticipate morning sickness aka dying in the morning.
    d. Tableware such as paraffin stoves, small pans, matches, aluminum plates and spoons.
    e. Logistics supplies: bread, snacks, instant noodles, rice wrap (for those who are accustomed to eat should be with rice), drinking water at least 3 liters plus taste drinks so as not to be tasteless (for those who want).
    f. Energy supplements: like honey, brown sugar / java sugar, and supplement drink.

  3. Physical preparation.
    Physical power is absolutely necessary in a mountain climb. If the physical does not support the climb will fail, at least
