Back in 2008 ~ the head CEO of one of the biggest telecomunications passed away and shortly after everything changed on a business level for the company.

Back then I worked in cellphone billing and our center did our job well, Too well in some peoples opinions.

We credited too many customers for billing errors, soooo the new board of CEO's closed down our center and moved the jobs overseas.

[The repercussions of unexpected job loss]

Our credit was ruined, as it took us more then 3 months to get any replacement income.

There went our dreams of owning a house, or going back to school.

Ever since then we just worked to try to catch up. Its been 10 years since~ and I have managed to pay off all my debt except my student loan, that still to this day gets my full incometax to go towards paying it off.

I only had 10k worth of debt, and its been tough to recover. Not to mention the depression that comes with realizing how unjust this game of life can be.

What must it be like for others, suffering in silence?

Basic income would protect all future adults rights to afford education, basic needs for living like food, and rent.

Anyone homeless or living in extreme poverty at that point we could be directed to go to class for lessons on money management. Having uBI there would no longer be an excuse for poverty if one manages their basic income wisely.

Contrary to the debate that people would stop working:
Yes, we would still have a need to work.
We are a species of creators who are usually only happy when we are serving others in some way. This would allow people more time to choose where they want to serve, and allow people the choice to say no to employers asking unethical things.

We could have time to volunteer in our communities again. ♡

While I know many of my friends wish independence from a system structure, I wish to celebrate and honor those who have the will opt out. (Which should also be a choice we have if we don't want to accept a basic income)

There is a way to balance everything wrong in this world. We are now conscious enough of a species to work together in harmony to propose new solutions to every problem we are facing.

The main one is a bit long. 10 pages, and may not begin much, but it will take some work and we are the people, now is the time, this is the platform. You asked for solutions. Perhaps a structure to choose solutions?

hey! :D nice to meet you I'll be sure to check those out.

The economics of basic income doesn't make sense.
