Our community is really starting to make things happen.
Yesterday, we reported that we topped 105,000 verified users for this week's distribution. That number now has jumped another 3,500 in less than 36 hours. We are very impressed by the growth.
Many ask what can I do with my Manna?
We reported about Manna Basics last week. This is an online store that accepts Manna as payment. A couple of our team members tried it out with good success.
Now we would like to introduce Manna Marketplace. This is a site where one can either sell one's services or contract with someone. In addition to normal online payments such as PayPal, Manna Marketplace accepts Manna.
Merchant of Manna is a marketplace for the Manna economy (visit Mannabase for more details about the Manna cryptocurrency).
Sellers: List your products or services on Merchant of Manna and receive Manna for every item sold.
Buyers: Buy items with Manna or your credit card (using PayPal) and support the Manna economy.
Our current exchange rate is 100 Manna per $1 USD.

For those in the Manna community who have services to offer, this is another area where you can promote yourself. The nice thing is you can accept Manna as payment.
We must state this is a site that is done by a member of the Manna community, not any individual directly involved with the Manna Foundation. This is another example of the talent and creativity of the Manna community. It is exciting that so many with the entrepreneurial spirit see the potential of Manna and start to develop businesses around it.
The Manna team is going to do its best to support everyone in the community. We realize the necessity of creating a thriving environment which will assist in the value of the token. All steps taken by the team are to move Manna in the direction of being one of the more popular cryptocurrencies.
With your help, we can accomplish our grand vision.
To receive your weekly Manna distribution, go to https://www.mannabase.com.
This is interesting. The beginnings of a networked economy. With this, someone who is charity minded can help out someone with little resources by buying their services. This is something I never considered. A free market to actually help people help themselves.
Well done!

We didn't either, but someone did.
That is the value of a decentralized community who are free to create and express themselves as they see fit.
The entire knowledge base is expanded with each new person who joins.

Oh, that's marvelous news @mannacurrency! Something like that is precisely what's needed to give the Manna project "life." I know it is early days still, but developments like this will not only make the IDEA of Manna more attractive, it will help make it self-sustaining. The more "entry points" and the more "reasons to use" a currency, the more likely it is to distinguish itself in an ocean of crypto tokens.

We agree. A large part of the value in the Manna ecosystem is going to be the utility of the token.
The community is enhanced by having more choices.

Now that you have a presence on Steemit — which is full of potential SBI users — have you considered the possibility of creating a "direct exchange" utility to Manna?
For example, a Steemit user with a Manna account sends you 10 Steem with some specific memo, and it's converted to Manna and passed into that person's Manna wallet. Alternately, it could also be used as a pathway for someone to "gift" Manna to someone. It could even be set up in such a way that you could gift someone into Manna, period... thereby leveraging the power of Steemit to create a broader user base for Manna.
Just thinking out loud!

Thank you @curatorcat.
Keep the ideas coming. All are sent to the team for consideration.
We have a lot on the plate so many are approved/disapproved based upon the amount of labor required.
These are very good idea.

Maybe post a list of good ideas that you can't do and maybe the community will take over it?

Hi Lablabpaulo! Send an email to [email protected] if you're having issues with the marketplace. You should be able to create jobs without an issue -- but please let us know if you have a difficulty for any reason. Thanks for participating!

I guess Manna will also help change the lives of people like me.
Especially in the long run. I mean people with multiple disabilities, who are unable to make friends and/or work in real life. I am one of those people and I living on a low pension-like income.
I mean 68 480 HUF monthly, which is currently (2018.05.22, 20:20 CEST) $255.36 USD, because $1 USD is currently 268.17 HUF.
Even the current Manna/USD exchange rate (100 Manna = $1 USD) is better than my country's own currency (HUF/USD)!
Every penny/cent matters for me!
My Manna account has been approved exactly one month ago (on 2018.04.22) and I currently have 25.415966 Manna in my Mannabase account.
I would like express my gratefulness to the developers of the Manna currency and the whole community behind it for this opporunity!
Both for the Manna Marketplace and (especially) for the Universal Basic Income with Manna! Thank you so much!
