The New York Knicks have made a decision on their new GM. Scott Perry who is currently the VP of basketball operations at the Sacramento Kings has been tapped as the man for probably the currently the most dysfunctional team in the NBA.Perry will now take on what is one probably of the most difficult rebuilding jobs in the NBA. The deal has not been finalized but will likely be in the coming days if not hours. Steve Mills is being promoted to the president of the Knicks after the spot was left vacant last month.

Jonathon Simmons signed

Jonathon Simmons has had an interesting journey to the NBA but his hard work and dedication has now paid off with him signing a 3-year $20 million deal with the Orlando Magic. This is not the biggest news but I had to add it just because of his story. The man literally came out of nowhere with him showing up one day paying $150 for an open try out and now, well being an important rotational player and quite rich I would imagine. It is very enduring to know that no matter where you come from hard work can get you where you want to be!

Nice work @freethrows! I try to post NBA stuff as often as I can come up with it. You can check my blog for a couple of past NBA offseason posts.

As a huge Spurs fan, I'm interested to see how Simmons will work out in Orlando. The Magic are certainly shaping up to be a very athletic team and Simmons gives them good scoring potential, but it's always hard to know how well someone will do when they move out of the Spurs system.

Yeah, I agree but I worry that the Magic might lack scoring... Simmons is gonna be a loss for the Spurs though I think he was really good in that system!

Kyrie Irving reportedly asked Cavaliers to be traded!

Thanks for the heads up gonna make a post soon!

thanks

yeah, thought the spurs would keep simmons, seemed to fit pretty good.
