Kylie Irving and Isiah Thomas trade good?

in basketball •  7 years ago  (edited)

What is everyone's thought on this trade? Isiah Thomas to the cavs, and kyrie to the celtics. Was this good for both teams? Or was it good for just one of the teams?

I personally think that this was the best trade for the cavs. Getting rid of kyrie Irving was huge but then trying to get someone back just as good as him and replacing him would be hard, and they did they got Isiah which I personally think was good for the cavs. And still think that the trade for the celtics was good also.

That draft pick from the Nets puts this deal solidly in the Cavs favor.Although Isaiah is a defensive liability. Also I wonder about Kyrie's durability long term.

Yeah I agree Isiah was the heart of the team.

Cavs got the better deal when factoring in the draft pick. Considering everyone knew Kyrie wanted to be traded, Cavs did a good job of getting something in return.

Agreed

i think boston could have asked for more, but trading away other pieces made sense. crowder would be underutilized because of tatum and brown, and the BKN pick will not be top 5 anymore.
