Q: How impactful did you find Lebron whispering to Lonzo?

in basketball •  7 years ago

Last night, there was a lot of talk on what Lebron was whipsering to Lonzo. In fact when both parties were asked about it, here's what they said:

LeBron: “None of y’all business.”

Lonzo. “[He] didn’t tell me anything.”

This is what Lebron said: "Find your zone and just stay the fuck locked in,” James said. “The media is going to ask you what I told you right now (but so what). Just be aggressive every single day ... it's white noise. That's all it is. All right?" which can be found here: https://www.sbnation.com/2017/12/15/16780506/lebron-james-advice-lonzo-ball-cavs-vs-lakers

Question to you: How impactful did you find Lebron whispering to Lonzo?

Answer from me: Not at all. I think Lebron was trying to create hype. In fact Lonzo already has a very level head and I would've hoped for more substance than what Lebron said. Hopefully, if Lebron really cares about Lonzo, he'll continue to reach out. Otherwise, Lebron, there's no need covering your mouth because media potentially can pick it up!

Great first post here! I think Lebron was fine doing this. He probably knew people would be watching so he wanted to create some controversy. Especially if he was asked what he said, and he knew there wasn't any substance, he was silly making it seem like there was substance there.
