It was another WILD night in college basketball last night as the second week of the NCAA Tournament got rolling. More drama, more upsets, more magic. That got me thinking today, who had the best jump shot in the history of the sport?
There is only one answer to this question. Jimmer Fredette from BYU. He led the country in scoring and was named player of the year when he was playing in Utah. I would stay up late and watch his west coast games as he would launch 3's from 5 feet behind the line.
After bouncing around the NBA and given very little opportunity, Jimmer headed to China and is tearing up the Chinese Basketball League. He has led the league in scoring in both of his years and won the MVP. Is the NBA paying attention? Cheers!
what a jump it is !

I can see a little bit of Jimmer in Trae Young. Good high volume shooter, decent playmaking skills and not so good defence.
Would you agree?

That is an awesome picture of Jimmer in the middle of elevating and knocking down a big 3. I agree - what a jump shot he had - I wasn't sure what happened to him, but I'm not surprised at all to hear he is tearing it up in China. Like you pointed out - could a return to the NBA be on the horizon?
