Boss ODB-3 Modified vs Stock

in bass •  7 years ago  (edited)

A common complaint about the BOSS ODB-3 OverDrive for bass is that it is too gainy and has harsh, "fizzy" highs, which makes it sound more like a fuzz. I modified one according to Brian Wampler's suggested improvements and compared it to a stock one. With modifications the clipping sounds much more pleasing in my opinion: like a punchy, driven bass tone.
