Jo-crow has the mayor in their hands. After a few more prank phones, Scarecrow convinces Joker they need to heat things up in the city. The master of mischief knew who just to call...
Firefly is here to light up the pages!
Batman gives the low-down about pyromania to Robin. Firefly loves not to set things on fire, but to watch it burn. Fire excites him so much that he'd risk staying just to watch it burn.
They can't wait for the fire department. Batman throws a BATrang and leaps into action! Catching up to Firefly, Batman is blasted with fire and falls back. The structure begins to collapse and with Batman barely hanging Robin throws a rescue line. So weak he falls and has trouble holding himself. Robin wants to help, Batman says no. He reminds Batman of what he taught him before. He gives in.
Meanwhile, The Ventrilaquist is looking for his friend. Who's locked up in the evidence room and is going to need an extra... hand!
Alfred has a moment with Bruce over the past few nights. Like Bruce's doctor, he's only concerned for his health. He doesn't want to hear it though. It's up to Batman to save the city and him alone.
Tim is home doing his research on Garfield Lynns. He doesn't find much, granite, the internet age has merely just begun. He does notice on his police that he grew up at an orphanage. Maybe he can pick up some clues there. Now to just come up with a lie for his dad...
When he shows up as Robin to the orphanage he discovers it hasn't been a home for the lost in a long time. Someone hears him though.
Speaking to the nun he discovers Firefly has a sister, but before he could ask any more questions she was gone faster than Batman from a crime scene. He makes an anonymous police call connecting her to Firefly. When the police show up he eavesdrops on the whole conversation. He finds out where he might be heading to next though.
A lot of people broke out of Arkham including... The Cavalier?
More like The Guy-Who-Didn't-Stand-A-Chance! Off to Firefly!
Not happy to see Batman, he tries to take off. He doesn't get far though as our caped crusader grabs a leg. The weight of them both brings them crashing down into the fire... Is Batman too weak to survive?
JQ Review
The struggle has finally caught up to Batman. He is human after all. 25 year old spoiler alert, The Riddler is planning something but with everything going on it might be a minute before anyone notices. What about Scarface too? We haven't seen the last of them and countless others. All but Film Freak, Zsasz and The Cavalier have been properly handled. Maybe Mad Hatter too, but the point being it has just been child's play and the heat from Firefly is just weakening our hero to nothing. Hopefully Robin can get to him in time...
