A couple years ago I decided to draw a picture of Batman everyday in my sketchbook. Of all superheros, Batman seems to be the most compelling. People love to draw him. He's iconic, the most recognizable and the most interesting. He has no sanctimonious baggage. He's got a code against killing and guns, like The Doctor, but he's got no code against hurting, terrorizing, rage, and vengeance. He fights dirty and takes on everyone. Even Superman, the squeaky clean omnipotent WonderBread hero. Batman's so delightfully cthonic he's in all of our dreams. Also, perhaps we like to believe that it could be possible to be batman.
Frank Miller showed us the way to love Batman. Embrace all of it. His fear and his joy.

I thought that if I drew Batman everyday I was bound to attract Instagram followers. It didn't really work. Here's the highlights:
Batman telling like it is.
Batman reveals that he's a fan of my radio show.
Ancient Batman leading the charge out of the Trojan Bat.
Batman misses the bus.
Batman offering corporate support to my endeavors.
Batman and friend in the Batcave checking on their social media likes.
Surf's Up Batman and Robin.
My favourite, BatJesus on his way to Hell. YEAH! Gives me goosebumps and cracks me up at the same time.
