Brave is still not good enough for me to switch in desktop ...

Guys, I have seen a lot of "shilling" these days about people switching over to brave. But it still doesn't support a lot of fundamental things such as chrome extensions and a way to sync chrome data even though it is chrome based.

The phone version is so far, really good but the desktop version needs a lot more improvements. Too much shilling for the desktop version now could have an averse affect ...

Of course it will improve but for now, it is not what we expect it to be ...

I like using it as an extra browser, but wouldn't use it as my main for the reasons you stated. It could be very good in time. I've had it since it came out so I don't expect anything instant. I really like the idea behind the BAT token. We'll see!

Good point. Shilling too early can have an unwanted effect, so sometimes it's better to just wait until the product is ready. I have not yet tried Brave, but not having Chrome extensions sounds like a dealbreaker for me.

The re written desktop browser will be released within 2-5 months. Then it will support chrome extensions.

Great, I might try it out then. I really hope this alternative to regular ads ends up working in a way to benefit the user, while also allowing us to reward the websites we would like to.

I tried to use the iphone version, but it was very unresponsive and much slower than the the safari browser for me, which is weird because being fast is one of its selling points

Currently, only the android version lives upto what I would expect. But the version is being rewritten from scratch which will take a little time. When that is released it will moon out of proportion. Bat is my largest holding.
