Cards for upvotes, automated service in development for .club

Well if someone has a starter pack, they shouldn't have to purchase or rent more cards right away, they already have 30!

This is going to be the case for a lot of newer players, or even players who won promo packs in contests etc.. Just thought you should know.. Oh well.. I already spent a booster pack on my friend.. .68 cents is .68 cents but for a person new to crypto and steemmonsters, they may not even want to invest that much yet, or have no way of doing so.

Also keep in mind, the players won't even realise why they are getting the error.. They will think the starter pack they got as a promo code is like any other starter pack and get frustrated. My friend didn't know, I had to explain.
I also didn't understand why I couldn't combine a duplicate I received from a booster awhile back, thought I was going nuts and didn't open up a duplicate, until it happened again! I drove the Telegram group nuts trying to figure it out until someone was like "oh yea, promo starter packs changed..".. Even the article about it is missing now..

But ya, shouldn't discriminate against those players really. They got a promo starter pack because they couldn't spend any money.. right. I think steemmonsters.club is great for newbies especially to earn STEEM.. but this is not good if they can't queue with their starters..

I've explained above why I have placed these requirements. Feel free to make a technical suggestion involving anti-abuse.

I am in no way affiliated with steemmonsters.com. The change to promo codes has nothing to do with me. I agree the promo code changes may be confusing, though. You should bring this concern to their official channels.

And it's $0.10, not $0.68.

I understand, I am not meaning at all to change the promo codes, it's just that when someone receives a promo code for a starter pack, it's as if they purchased one save for how those 30 cards are treated. They have no option to then purchase one for $10. (Yes, they can purchase singles but most people who entered to win a free starter are generally those who didn't want to invest quite yet -- and don't feel they have any need to purchase single cards yet)

steemmonsters.club can't see that they have any cards if they only have those 30 starters, unfortunately. The player who used the promo code doesn't realise this, and would then get confused when steemmonsters.club tells them they need a monster and a summoner, because to that player, they have all summoners and a lot of monsters - from their starter pack.
I was just suggesting that, if you can't have steemmonsters.club 'see' the cards from the starter, a different explanation for the error might be less confusing/frustrating for someone who got a free starter pack (many new players)... I will also bring it up with steemmonsters - they are the ones handing out those starter packs, they might need to make these ghost cards more known and understood, because they seem just like regular cards until an issue like this, or trying to combine, comes up.

Thanks for the hard work you do on steemmonsters.club -- I have been promoting it to new players and one of them ran into this issue, so I was just bringing you some feedback. Sorry.

You shouldn't apologize, I just didn't understand what you meant. I thought you mistook me for the sm.com developer.

I will do that, thank you for the suggestion.

I will also bring it up with steemmonsters

I messaged them about this when you brought it up. Probably not high on their priorities list with the guilds release though.

Thank you for the kind words and promoting me. I was just confused, and in case it appeared I was being agressive, I didn't mean to. Sorry.
