5 Games I Wish Were Already On The Blockchain

If there were some AAA titles on the blockchain today maybe I would already be semi-retired or at least have cool side job where I get paid to do well online. But we are not there… yet. But what if we were? What if you could have any game that is already out on the blockchain? It could be from any genre and you could even pick a single player game that has some way to make crypto or get blockchain items. It can even be an old Atari game with a cryptocurrency leaderboard.

I have already covered how awesome a MMO or dungeon-crawler would be so I am going to exclude them from this list. But please feel free to add them in the comments.

Fortnite

Like it or not this game is a powerhouse and one I would love to see on a blockchain. There are several advantages this would have from tournaments that could be recorded on the blockchain to ownerships of a skin. You could have a leaderaboard where your wins are recorded on a blockchain. You could even give out daily rewards for certain accomplishments. This would add a level to this game that would make it even more esports friendly.

Hearthstone

We have all seen how well Splinterlands has done on the blockchain and what digital cards can be worth. Now imagine a game like Hearthstone where you can keep your cards, trade them, sell them and earn for winning ranked matches. That would be one of the biggest draws a ranked season with real ranked rewards. If you put in the grind you know how hard it is to get to the top of a ranked season and it might be worth it if you got a rare backed card that could be transferred on the blockchain.

Super Mario (any of them):

Who would be a better cryptocurrency mascot than Mario? You literally collect coins. Any game would be cool but the one that would make the most sense would be Mario Maker as you could reward people for the levels that they make and have top maps stand out more. This is basically creative work that people are doing for free nad being able to make a coin or two would show appreciated to these people.

Board Game Collection:

This might be me but it would be cool to play games like Monopoly and Risk with some rewards. I do not want to add gambling to these games but a reward system where the winner takes all would be fun. Sure it is not exciting as a Fortnite match but there is still something fun about playing a board game online and getting rewards for it would only add to the experience. Sure special Monopoly boards and pieces are not the best use of a blockchain but they do sell well in stores so you never know.

Half-life 3:

I just threw this one in cause I want to see a half-life 3. By the time it comes out I am sure crypto will be so advantaged it will be in all games anyway. We can exchange this with a game like Destiny if you want to add a loot shooter to the list.
