A major European bank will offer clients investments in Ethereum

BBVA Bank, based on its Swiss division, opens a trading service for working with Ethereum.

BBVA Switzerland offered its clients investments in bitcoin in June of this year and over the past time has noted significant interest in this type of services. According to a press release, BBVA Switzerland became "the first traditional bank in Europe" to include ether in its services.

"We decided to add ether to the crypto asset wallet, because together with bitcoin, it is the protocol that arouses the greatest interest of investors, while simultaneously providing all guarantees of compliance with regulatory standards," said Alfonso Gomez, CEO of BBVA Switzerland.

Customers can view cryptocurrency assets along with any others in the banking application. There you can also automatically perform a conversion operation to euros or dollars. In the coming months, the bank promises to continue developing the cryptocurrency service, taking into account its demand among private banking customers.

BBVA ranks first among banks in Mexico, second in Spain, Turkey and Peru, third in Venezuela and fourth in Colombia. The bank's assets at the end of last year amounted to 736 billion euros, which allows it to enter the top 50 world banks.
