This week, the Cointext messaging platform announced the public launch of a new application that provides the sending of transactions to Bitcoin cash (BCH) from a mobile phone without access to the Internet. The beta release is already available for testing in the United States, Canada, South Africa, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK.

Now, Bitcoin Cash users can send a crypto currency via a mobile phone without the need to connect to the Internet. This is made possible through the use of SMS. On March 27, Cointext developers launched a public beta version of the platform. The launch of the application was announced by the leading developer Cointext Vin Armani (Vin Armani), who is also co-founder and head of the company.

without access to the Internet?

So its like the off blockchain transfer and the coins actually never moves. Which means that the App company will have the transaction data but no one else..

I am not sure if its a good idea or not. As it compromises the transparency.

Almost two thousand people signed up for CoinText to get the first opportunity to try this service, so that's really popular. New users receive a wallet, passing the correct CoinText command or when someone sends the BCH to their phone number using a text message.

The first users who wrote the word CASH on the access number will receive a free BCH of 0.50 US dollars (50 US cents), that's like a good start. This service is funded by donations from the Bitcoin Cash community, and 100% of the funds are sent directly to new users.

SMS payments are not new. The financial services company M-Pesa annually makes billions of SMS-transactions in Africa. Recently, Apple Pay has added an SMS payment function for iPhone users. Early Bitcoin projects Coinapult and BitPesa became the pioneers of SMS transmission in the crypto-currency industry.

To be competitive, CoinText uses the instantaneous Bitcoin Cash transaction rate (0-conf), one-percent network charges and network settlements that the Bitcoin (BTC) network no longer supports.

The CoinText wallet is managed using simple SMS commands such as BALANCE, RECEIVE and SEND. And HELP text messages show all the commands.

The command to send BCH from one phone to another in the United States looks like this:

SEND $ 1,180,555,560.

Anyway that's a personal choice of everyone, no one pushing you to use that. Good luck!
