I've always been a big fan of #beachwednesday and #sunthursday created by @uwelang and curated by @lizanomadsoul. So I was very happy to see a new post today from @lizanomadsoul about a rededication to curating these tags. You can read all about it here.
I've been posting so much from here, but how could I not celebrate #beachwednesday without celebrating the last beach I set foot on? I had so much fun in Puerto Vallarta and Sayulita, Mexico last week that I have no self control in posting my photos from here. This was my attempt at playing around with long exposure photography on the beach.
An interesting fact (at least to me) is that the famous pier in Puerto Vallarta, Los Muertos Pier, only finished construction in January 2013. But in 5 shorts years, it already feels like such a cornerstone and recognizable landmark in this beautiful city.
Los Muertos Pier was designed by architect José de Jesús Torres who won a contest for the design that replaced a dilapidated pier in the same location. From volleyball to lounging in the sun to walking along the boardwalk, Los Muertos Pier is almost always filled with people enjoying the gorgeous weather and sunshine. CNN even named this pier one of the 10 most beautiful in the world. And I am in complete agreement!

Lovely pictures. I quite agree with you. A friend of mine just arrived from Puerto Vallarta beach and didn't say anything contrary to what you have said.
