Loneliness--- Beat Battle Week 4

in beatbattle •  7 years ago

I appreciate you taking the time to listen to the beat, but I disagree with your assessment. The mix isnt great, but I did this whole beat in 45 minutes. I didn't even really want to join this beat battle again, but I decided with 4 hours left to do it.

Second, the theme was loneliness, so why would I make a happy sounding beat? Are you serious?

I'm an artist, so I'm used to critiques and feedback, but it has to make sense. So far the feedback I have gotten on Steemit makes no sense.

Everybody with ears isnt necessary equipped to make these judgements. I'm not name dropping, but If you want a list of my credits, I'll be happy to share those with you as well.

45 minutes? That is pretty quickly but I'm not judging your beats (I'm not 1 of the beatbattle judges), I'm just giving you my personal feedback and if you didn't like my feedback then you won't like what professional music supervisors and industry A&R's would tell you. I kept my feedback really brief but the music business is a lot more harsh and detailed than what I left you so if you feel some type of way of my comment, then I don't believe you're ready for the music business my dude. I'm not trying to attack you or anything like that, I'm just being real with you because there's top dogs that know what they're talking about that's a lot more real than me and I just want you to get better and better you feel me?

When people give me feed backs, I take it in and add it to what I need to work on so that way, when I go back, they'll have nothing but positives to say. They'll know that I took what they said into consideration and that's how you wow your critics, by taking their criticism in. I been in live beat battles and I've heard beats like yours and the crowd doesn't respond to kindly on low quality beats and even if you made this in 45 minutes, you still could of spent some time fixing the levels. No one is forcing you to be in the beat battle, it's all by voluntary choice and if you want to build your career and make a good name for yourself, quality is always the key. 45 minutes or not, that's still not an excuse to say that my opinion which is just 1 person's opinion is non-sense.

If I didn't make any sense, then I would have never left you an honest feedback and would of told you that this beat is the hottest beat in the beat battle league week 4. Sorry but it's not but that's my personal opinion. Others will think differently so you can't blame other steemit users for being honest and saying we don't make any sense.

How are we not making sense? Do you want us to tell you that your beats are always hot? The reality for me is that not all of my beats are hot and not everybody is going to like them but that's okay because as long as they're honest with me, that's all I need to progress further as a music producer. That's all I'm doing with you my dude, being honest so you can further progress your skills as a music producer and I'm not speaking for the users who you say makes no sense but what if they're just doing the same? Honesty makes better sense than dishonesty and telling you that your beats are always hot. If I lie to you, how are you going to know that someone is not feeling your beat? How are you going to progress further if someone is telling you that you have no flaws? All music producers have flaws, big named producers and no named producers are all in the same boat and we all just want to get better and better! Sorry that you didn't take my feedback in a positive way.

Bruh....the theme was loneliness.... you said you didn't like my beat because it sounded depressing.....THE THEME WAS LONELINESS! SO YEAH YOUR CRITIQUE MAKES NO SENSE!

Yes, I could've done a better job on the mix, so yea I agree with you on that. That was last minute.

I have a couple questions for you.

  1. Who are you?
  2. What qualifies you besides the fact that you have ears?
  3. Why aren't you in the beat battle?
  4. How is listening to you gonna get me to the next level? Are you at the next level?

I'm an artist so I'm used to critiques, but here's my problem with most of the critiques I have gotten on steemit.

People act like agreeing with their critiques are like getting keys to a house, but you are not even in the house yet. So yes, I appreciate your advice, but don't act like you hold the keys to the gate you cant even get in yet. I already have one foot in the gate. I appreciate your feedback, but don't act like if I don't listen to everyone with ears I wont succeed. That's all I'm saying.

  1. I'm a music producer that have been 1 of the world's best instrumental selling producer on numerous amount of beat market platforms, I have made thousands of dollars selling beats online.

  2. Everybody is qualified because everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

  3. I'm not in the beat battle because projects are pilling and I also have a 10 month old son so my family comes first. Can't you see that I haven't posted a new beat in about a week? Fall is coming pretty fast and there's a lot of new tv seasons and commercials, movies, and other music related projects that requires my attention. I'll be in the beat battle when the time comes up but for right now, priorities come first.

  4. I'm not telling you to listen to me, I'm just leaving you a feedback. Whether you want to listen to me or not is entirely up to your choice. I'm not saying I'm at the next level but I assure you that I'm already there in your perspective of the next level. The level that I want to be on is my own personal preference because I still feel like I'm not on the next level. When it comes to being in the music business, I'm there. I have connections to pitch beats to the right people, I'm signed to contracts, I hung out with Grammy award winning producer Rocwilder and he would tell you the same thing I said to you my dude. If he were to leave you the same feedback, you would probably react differently because you perceive him to be on the next level when he himself feels like he could be better. I've been the #1 producer on the site rocbattle.com back in the days and 1 of rocwilder's associates that runs the site wanted to sign me. To me, being under someone is not the next level. I'm trying to stray away from contracts and become the person that hands out the contracts, that's my personal preference of being on the next level. Just because I have connections doesn't mean I'm on the next level, the next level is when you become a person of interest and the music business is coming to you instead of you trying to go into the music business. It's good to have your foot in the gate but it's better to become the gate and control who comes in and who goes out. To me, that's the next level but I'm also very appreciative and humble that I still have connections to become a producer of interest to be on the next level.

I did not intend to make this a big deal because in the comments on @chiefmappster post, I specified to my personal taste that I wanted to hear beautiful, heart warming beats that touches your soul because I been on that road before and I gave my reasons on why I wanted to hear such beats. Like I said before, this is my own PERSONAL OPINION, and what I read on chief's post gave me the perception of wanting to help people that suffer from loneliness and depression so making a depression type of beat is not helping with that at all. It only cause more depression and why would someone who feels lonely and depressed get encouraged to feel more lonely and depressed by listening to vibrations that manifest more loneliness and depression? Now that to me doesn't make any sense. When you feel lonely and depressed, the best medicine to those are beautiful vibrations that uplifts you from that state of consciousness. You don't dive more into loneliness and depression by listening to more music that inspires those things.

When you feel those negative frequencies, you don't listen to more negative vibrations that bring you lower than before, you listen to higher frequencies that brings your mood to higher levels. That's common sense and I'm sticking by what I said. Your beat doesn't matches the theme because it does not help people that suffer from loneliness and depression, your beat only contributes to the frequency rather than help get rid of the problem.

Ok. Man. No Worries. Thanks for your time. I appreciate it eventhough I dont agree.

Feedback is a lil easier to take when you know who's giving it. That's all. I wasnt trying to be an asshole.

It's all good, no hard feelings. Keep making those beats!
