In many historical moments the Bible teaches us the meaning of true beatitude. In general, the common and simple people seek happiness in the wrong way, because the true good of man is the beatitude, and this is the fullness of the spiritual and material goods in man, as King Solomon taught with the example of his life.
And beatitude begins in a very simple way, with the fear of God, seeking wisdom above all things, because it is with the common sense and the assertive decisions that all the other goods arrive, the well-built wealth is the wealth based on wisdom, the knowledge of the correct means to live.
The Bible gave us a beautiful example about this spiritual truth. King Solomon pleased God with his heart, and the Lord greatly magnified this glorious king, and while Solomon grew in wisdom, God increased his material wealth. When a sage rules, he does so by representing God.
This is how the Sacred Scriptures describe the glory that Solomon achieved: "King Solomon was greater in riches and wisdom than all the other kings of the earth. The whole world sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart" 1 Kings 10:23-24.
King Solomon taught that discovering beatitude is discover the way of God, and the true meaning of what life entails: "Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it" Ecclesiastes 7:12.
Only looking for the correct and the best in all the decisions is what allows man to live in harmony with the ethical laws of the universe ("For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind." Hosea 8:7), and thus achieve success in life, this is the deepest message of the wise in their teachings.
