Like the snow leopard I shared these owls have evolved in such extremely cold conditions that they have become perfect hunters. They can hide in the ice and snow and become invisible to predators and their prey which allows them to hunt. Because mice and rabbits stand out when they move in the snow it uses its vision to track on to these animals and fly out of the sky to grab them and find a meal. They have slight brown colors on their wings so they blend into trees with snowcovered branches.
